Kolkata & Siliguri: Complaint and FIR Details on Alleged Remarks - Investigation Ongoing

Two separate legal actions have been reported in West Bengal regarding alleged remarks related to religious matters.

1. Complaint at Pragati Maidan PS, Kolkata
A complaint has been filed at Pragati Maidan Police Station in Kolkata. The allegation relates to prayers conducted during Eid from 2012 to 2025. An FIR was registered on 20 May 2026 at Siliguri Cyber Crime Police Station. The complaint was filed by Advocate Rinki Chattopadhyay Singh. According to the FIR, the allegation is about provocative remarks made by the individual named in the complaint. The police have stated that the matter is currently under investigation.
