Legal Metrology Inspection Conducted at Behala Petrol Pump to Ensure Consumer Protection Sanchita chatterjee Kolkata, August 13, 2026: In a move aimed at strengthening consumer protection and ensuring strict adherence to prescribed standards, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Department of Youth Services & Sports and Consumer Affairs, Government of West Bengal, Dr. Indranil Khan, conducted a Legal Metrology inspection at the Shakuntala Park Petrol Pump in Behala today. The inspection focused on verifying whether the petrol pump was complying with the rules and standards prescribed under Legal Metrology regulations. The initiative was undertaken to safeguard the interests of consumers and ensure transparency in transactions involving essential commodities such as petrol and diesel.
