My journey of struggle is deeply intertwined with this land, and I am truly moved by the warmth and affection with which the people of Singur embraced me today. First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives due to the unplanned SIR. I am also deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Ajit Pawar. I pray for the eternal peace of his departed soul and convey my sincere condolences to his family. From the soil of Singur today, I inaugurated Phase II of the Banglar Bari (Gramin) housing scheme, fully funded by the State Government. In this phase, 20 lakh families will receive ₹1.20 lakh each to build their homes, with a total outlay of ₹24,000 crore.         Reported by Sanchita chatterjee   kolkata27th January : Under the leadership of the municipal councilor of Bagbazar, Mr. Bapi Ghosh, the marriage ceremony of 12 daughters entered its 18th year.  It started with the marriage of three daughters, and today it has grown to include the marriage of 12 daughters.  This success has been achieved through the combined efforts of 48 hands. We wish him a long and healthy life in the near future, and we hope that he will continue to bring smiles to the faces of many more parents from underprivileged families burdened with the responsibility of marrying off their daughters. Bapi Ghosh completed his social service work with the support of those present, including Shashi Panja, Mala Roy, Sudip Bandyopadhyay, Debashish Kumar, Kunal Ghosh, Firhad Hakim, and Sutripta Pandey.
