My journey of struggle is deeply intertwined with this land, and I am truly moved by the warmth and affection with which the people of Singur embraced me today. First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives due to the unplanned SIR. From the soil of Singur today, I inaugurated Phase II of the Banglar Bari (Gramin) housing scheme, fully funded by the State Government. We wish him a long and healthy life in the near future, and we hope that he will continue to bring smiles to the faces of many more parents from underprivileged families burdened with the responsibility of marrying off their daughters.
