Chanditala Police Station.  REPORTED BY SANCHITA CHATTERJEE: On Saturday, May 31, 2026, tension flared up in front  o f the Chanditala Police Station in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee faced a protest while on his way to the police station to submit a deputation. It has been reported that he sustained injuries during this incident.   According to local sources, Kalyan Banerjee was heading to the Chanditala Police Station to submit a deputation regarding a specific issue. As soon as he arrived in front of the station, a group of ordinary citizens blocked his path.
