Beyond the Field: New Era of Sports Management Education Begins in Kolkata Reported by Sanchita chatterjee Kolkata, Success on the sporting field depends not only on talented athletes but also on effective planning, professional management, strategic thinking and strong leadership. Recognising the growing importance of these areas, a new initiative aimed at bringing international-standard sports management education to Kolkata was launched on Friday. The George College Sports Management Department, in association with Protouch Sports, organised a seminar titled ‘Beyond the Field: Navigating the New Era of Sports Management’ at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club.
