As Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced an increase of Rs. 500 in the monthly allowance for women under the Lakshmi Bhandar scheme, a wave of joy swept across the state. Following this good news, a festive atmosphere was witnessed in Panchet, in the Panchet 4th Gram Panchayat area of Patashpur 2nd block. Overwhelmed with joy, the women of the area celebrated an untimely Holi festival , playing with colored powder. On this day, the women expressed their happiness by smearing each other with colorful green powder, holding pictures of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the Lakshmi Bhandar project .
