As Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced an increase of Rs. 500 in the monthly allowance for women under the Lakshmi Bhandar scheme, a wave of joy swept across the state.  Following this good news, a festive atmosphere was witnessed in Panchet, in the Panchet 4th Gram Panchayat area of ​​Patashpur 2nd block. Overwhelmed with joy, the women of the area celebrated an untimely Holi festival, playing with colored powder.

On this day, the women expressed their happiness by smearing each other with colorful green powder, holding pictures of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the Lakshmi Bhandar project. They were seen congratulating each other by applying colored powder. Some even applied colored powder to the pictures of Mamata Banerjee and the Lakshmi Bhandar scheme.



A festive atmosphere was created throughout the area, which seemed to be colored with the hues of Holi even before the actual festival.

Present at the event, Surajit Maity, the head of Panchet 4th Gram Panchayat, offered sweets to the women and thanked the Chief Minister for this pro-people decision. The women said that the Lakshmi Bhandar project has been a great help in their daily lives and the increase in money will make it even easier to meet various household needs. Also present were Pradip Maity, President of Panchet 4th Regional Youth Trinamool Congress, Sinath Manna, Health Director of Panchet 4th Gram Panchayat, and Semal Sau, Vice President of Panchet Regional Trinamool Congress.
