New Age Limit: General Category: Now 42 years instead of 40 years OBC Category: Now 45 years instead of 43 years   SC/ST Category: Now 47 years instead of 45 years This applies to all state-level recruitments including WBCS, WBPSC, Police, SSC, and other departmental exams. The change aims to provide more opportunities for candidates affected by COVID-19 delays and recruitment stoppages during the previous government tenure. The new rule will be effective from the next recruitment notification issued by WBPSC and other state commissions.
