Citizens who have not yet completed the biometric authentication process now have time till 30th June 2026 to update their details. Officials have indicated that failure to complete e-KYC before the new cut-off date may result in suspension of monthly ration benefits from July 2026 onwards. Why Was the Deadline Extended? The earlier deadline was 31st May 2026. However, reports citing Food Department data show that a significant number of beneficiaries, especially from rural districts like Purulia, Bankura, and Cooch Behar, were unable to finish the process due to network issues and Aadhaar-mobile linking problems.
