On behalf of the party, it has been announced that—in their efforts to strengthen the organization—they intend to rely primarily on their own ideology and long-serving cadres. Rather than pursuing a strategy of merely boosting their numbers by recruiting members from other parties, they are placing a strong emphasis on upholding their principled stance. Sources within the BJP claim that many individuals defecting from the Trinamool Congress have done so in the past for personal gain—actions that are not always consistent with the party's discipline and public image. Consequently, a decision has been taken to exercise greater caution regarding such inductions in the future. This announcement has sparked fresh discussions within the state's political circles. According to experts, while this move allows the BJP to reinforce its ideological standing on one hand, it is also expected to have repercussions within the Trinamool Congress on the other.

Following a long-standing dispute, the West Bengal government has taken a significant step toward clearing the outstanding Dearness Allowance (DA) dues of state government employees and pensioners.
