Arrest and Recovery in Theft Case*

 Reported by Sanchita chatterjee: On 26.03.2026, a complaint was received from Sri Anup Ghosh of Rabindra Colony,

Haringhata Nadia regarding theft of three iron poles by some unknown miscreant on 25.03.2026 at about 02:00 hrs from under-construction project site named “PM City” situated at 175B, Rabindra Colony under Ward No. 6 of Haringhata Municipality &

Haringhata PS case no.175/26 dt.26.03.2026 U/S303(2) BNS was started accordingly. Then, during investigation after analyzing CCTV footage & engaging manual source, IO apprehended 1.Kamal Mallick S/O Lt Mangal Mallick 2.Raju Karmakar S/O Gobinda Karmakar 3.Ajit Munsi S/O Abani Munsi 4.Raj Biswas S/O Sanjit Biswas all of 7 no Balindi, ward no.6 PS- Haringhata Nadia & minutely interrogated them. During interrogation, 

they confessed that they conjointly committed the crime i.e.stealing of iron poles & then keeping those at a garden near Balindi petrol pump for selling it as & when opportunity permits. After apprehension, they also helped to recover the same which has been seized accordingly. They have been arrested in this case & will be forwarded to the Ld Court to bring them under the court of law.
