Tamluk Khelaghar George Telegraph has started a new chapter at the Kolkata ground. Mohun Bagan's legendary former footballer Jose Ramirez Barretto has taken over as the club's head coach. This popular Brazilian star is going to make his debut as a coach at the Kolkata ground for the first time.

The club has informed that a one-year contract has been signed with Barretto. Former Mohun Bagan footballer Suman Dutta will be his assistant. Earlier, the pair worked successfully in the Bengal Super League.

Taking on the new responsibility, Barretto said,

"I am proud to start working with a traditional club like Tamluk Khelaghar George Telegraph. The ground has given me a lot of love as a footballer. This time, I will try to give my best as a coach."

The club's joint secretary and IFA secretary Anirban Dutta said,

“We believe that Barretto's experience and football philosophy will take the team to new heights. Tamluk Khelaghar George Telegraph has always valued new talent and new ideas.”

The club's executive secretary Anindya Dutta said,

“Tamluk Khelaghar George Telegraph will participate in the Kolkata Premier Division League this season and our main goal is to achieve significant success in the competition.”
