Reported by Sanchita chatterjee: Today, the unwavering affection, blessings and love of the people in the public meetings held in Murarai Vidhan Sabha of Birbhum district, Khardah Vidhan Sabha of North 24 Parganas district, and Beleghata and Maniktala Vidhan Sabha constituencies of North Kolkata will remain indelible in my heart. The spontaneous presence, enthusiasm and excitement of the common people made it clear that the victory of the mother, the land and the people in the upcoming elections is inevitable.

The people of Birbhum, North 24 Parganas and Kolkata, as well as the entire Bengal, are united in favor of development and progress. There is no place for divisive and authoritarian forces in this sacred land of Bengal. People are ready to give a democratic response to anti-Bengali mischief. The people of Bengal are determined to keep the trend of development and harmony intact.

 Those who want to usurp the rights of Bengal, dream of seizing power by endangering democracy and are trying to pollute this holy land - the main demand of this time is to resist them. No one can stop the public welfare projects of Bengal as long as there is a government of mother-soil-people. The love and support of the people are the main strength of our struggle, I express my deep respect and gratitude to the people of Bengal.

To protect the language, culture and tradition of Bengal, I appeal to everyone, regardless of caste, religion or colour - please vote for all the Trinamool Congress candidates including Dr. Mosharraf Hossain from Murarai Assembly Constituency, Devdeep Purohit from Khardah Assembly Constituency, Kunal Kumar Ghosh from Beleghata Assembly Constituency and Shreya Pandey from Maniktala Assembly Constituency with the symbol of two flowers on the grass and make them win by a huge margin.

Following a long-standing dispute, the West Bengal government has taken a significant step toward clearing the outstanding Dearness Allowance (DA) dues of state government employees and pensioners. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made an announcement regarding this matter on Sunday afternoon, prior to the declaration of the election schedule in the state. Notably, even before her announcement, the Finance Department had issued several notifications and memoranda on March 13, stating that the DA arrears—accrued between April 2008 and December 2019—would be cleared in a phased manner.
