Sanchita chatterjee: On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned Nusrat Jahan to its CGO Complex in Kolkata for questioning.

The Flat Fraud Case An organization—of which Nusrat was a director—stands accused of swindling crores of rupees from senior citizens under the pretext of providing flats in the Rajarhat area. According to the allegations, in 2014–15, promises were made to approximately 400 senior citizens to deliver flats in exchange for ₹5.5 lakh each; however, they never received the properties.

During the Interrogation She arrived at the ED office around 10:30 AM, accompanied by her husband, Yash Dasgupta. After undergoing nearly eight and a half hours of continuous questioning, she left the premises around 6:40 PM.

The Ration Corruption Context Although some sources suggested that her name had also surfaced in connection with a case involving the smuggling of ration wheat, it is understood that she was primarily summoned based on new information uncovered regarding the long-standing flat fraud case.
