Assembly elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi




 Today is Sunday, April 12, 2026. Ahead of the 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is commencing his election campaign in the state starting today. He arrived at Andal (Kazi Nazrul Islam) Airport this morning.

As a star campaigner for the BJP, he has a packed schedule of multiple engagements throughout the day. His tentative itinerary is as follows:

11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: At Andal Airport.1:00 PM – 1:45 PM: First public rally at a key constituency in the West Bardhaman district (likely in the vicinity of Durgapur or Asansol).

3:00 PM – 3:45 PM: Second campaign rally at a legislative assembly constituency in either the Bankura or Birbhum district.

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Scheduled to hold a grand roadshow in Kolkata or a neighboring area.

Primary Focus: It is anticipated that references to the 'Uttar Pradesh Model' and 'Bulldozer Politics' will feature prominently in his speeches.

During this leg of his visit, he is scheduled to address a total of 20 public rallies across West Bengal.Notably, the 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections are set to be held in two phases—on April 23 and April 29—with the results scheduled to be declared on May 4.Security arrangements have been significantly tightened at Andal Airport and the various rally venues in light of Yogi Adityanath's arrival. The local BJP leadership has made special preparations to accord him a warm welcome.
