  DPS Ruby Park – 21st Annual Sports Meet  Reported by Sanchita chatterjee   Kolkata : The second day of DPS Ruby Park's 21st Annual Sports Meet was held with great pomp and ceremony at Gitanjali Stadium on Sunday, December 21st.  Students from classes 7 to 12 of the high school participated in the second day of the two-day event. The colorful march past by the students of the school's six houses – Chenab , Ganga , Jhelum , Kaveri , Narmada , and Teesta – added a unique dimension to the competition.   Reported by Sanchita chatterjee Dharamshala :  The 20th Annual General Meeting of the HPCA was held today at the HPCA Stadium, chaired by Vice President Amitabh Sharma. The meeting included detailed discussions on cricket and the financial budget, and deliberations were held on expanding cricket in Himachal Pradesh in the coming year and improving the performance of the Himachal team at the national level. In the meeting, a new team was unanimously elected for the next three years.  Vijay Kumar was announced as Vice President, Manuj as Secretary, Vikram Thakur as Treasurer, Vishal Sharma as Joint Secretary, and Shivendra Singh, Dr. R.S. Rana, and Shailendra Singh as Apex Council members. He famously captained India to their first-ever Cricket World Cup victory in 1983 , a historic achievement that helped transform the team into a competitive international force. Beyond his captaincy, Dev was a prolific batsman and bowler , becoming the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket and was awarded India's highest civilian honors, the Padma Shri and Padma B India's greatest female batter with most runs in the game, and the only Indian female captain to have led the side to two 50-over World Cup finals. ESPN ranked her as one of the greatest female cricketers of all time.
