Vijay Kumar becomes HPCA Vice President Manuj becomes Secretary




 Reported by Sanchita chatterjee Dharamshala:  The 20th Annual General Meeting of the HPCA was held today at the HPCA Stadium, chaired by Vice President Amitabh Sharma.

The meeting included detailed discussions on cricket and the financial budget, and deliberations were held on expanding cricket in Himachal Pradesh in the coming year and improving the performance of the Himachal team at the national level.
In the meeting, a new team was unanimously elected for the next three years.  Vijay Kumar was announced as Vice President, Manuj as Secretary, Vikram Thakur as Treasurer, Vishal Sharma as Joint Secretary, and Shivendra Singh, Dr. R.S. Rana, and Shailendra Singh as Apex Council members.
The meeting decided to organize a ceremony to celebrate the glorious 25-year journey of the HPCA under the leadership of former BCCI President Anurag Thakur.

The organizing team was thanked for the successful conduct of the India-South Africa match, and the BCCI was also thanked for organizing the match at this stadium.
The women's team and staff were congratulated for the selection of two players from Himachal Pradesh in the Women's Premier League.

Those present at the meeting included outgoing Secretary Avnish Parmar, former Secretary Sumeet Sharma, Directors Surinder Thakur, Danvedar, Prem Thakur, Arvind, Sanjay Sharma, and members Kripal Parmar, Yudhishthir, Surinder Sharma, Aseem Agarwal, Attar Negi, Tej Chopra, Paramjit Singh, Jagdeep Sharma, Madan Puri, Ajay Rana, Vishal Jagota, Anoop Vij, Amit, Mohit Sood, and other members.

HPCA members highly praised Anurag Thakur for his exemplary 25-year journey. All members gave a standing ovation to Anurag Thakur and appreciated his efforts in promoting and taking Himachal cricket to great heights. All members passed a resolution stating that Himachal Pradesh's name has been illuminated at the international level because of Anurag Thakur.

Outgoing Secretary Avnish Parmar was honored with a shawl, cap, and bouquet in appreciation of his tenure.
