DPS Ruby Park – 21st Annual Sports Meet

Kolkata : The second day of DPS Ruby Park's 21st Annual Sports Meet was held with great pomp and ceremony at Gitanjali Stadium on Sunday, December 21st. Students from classes 7 to 12 of the high school participated in the second day of the two-day event. The colorful march past by the students of the school's six houses – Chenab, Ganga, Jhelum, Kaveri, Narmada, and Teesta – added a unique dimension to the competition.
The disciplined march past by the NCC cadets highlighted the importance of discipline and team spirit in the sports meet. The chief guest for the event was the renowned former Indian football player, Alvito D'Cunha, along with other dignitaries from the Om Dayal Education and Research Society.
Another renowned footballer, Asim Biswas, was present as a special guest. Students participated in various exciting events including races, hurdles, basketball dribbling, relay races, and tug-of-war. The stadium was filled with the cheers and enthusiasm of the students. This energy also spread to the parents in the stands and the teachers on the field. The aerobics and karate demonstrations by the One of the most attractive and fun events was the race for the parents. A race was also held for the school's teaching and non-teaching staff, which generated immense excitement. The discipline, leadership skills, and sense of unity fostered in the students through this annual sports meet will help them become responsible citizens of the future. Finally, the sports meet concluded with the prize distribution
