Sobisco Smashers Malda started strong in Bengal T20 League Season 3, beating Servotech Siliguri Strikers by 6 wickets at Eden Gardens on Tuesday. 

Malda Chase Down 129 with Ease

Batting first, Servotech Siliguri Strikers managed 128/7 in 20 overs. Pramod Chandila held the innings together with an unbeaten 52 off 35 balls. For Malda, Mukesh Kumar and Prayas Ray Barman were the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets each.

In reply, Sobisco Smashers Malda chased the target comfortably, finishing at 129/4 in just 17.3 overs. Akhil anchored the chase with a solid 50 off 44, while Prayas Ray Barman added quick runs with 39 off 29. For Siliguri, Geet Puri took 2 wickets, and Md Shami + Vishal Bhati picked up 1 each.

Howrah Warriors Win Via DLS Method

Earlier in the day, Adamas Howrah Warriors defeated Kolkata Royal Tigers by 7 wickets via DLS Method. Royal Tigers bounced back from 75/7 to post 149/8, thanks to Ronit Ghosh’s unbeaten 71 off 37. 

Chasing a revised target of 122 in 15 overs, Howrah Warriors cruised to 124/3 in 13.2 overs. Shakir Habib Gandhi stayed unbeaten on 52 off 32, supported by Kazi Junaid Saifi 34 off 23 and Shashank Singh 32_ off 18. Sujit Kumar Yadav impressed with the ball, taking 3/20.
