It *is* possible to make the police do their job—from filing an FIR to making an arrest

Reported by Sanchita chatterjee: It is possible to make the police do their job—from filing an FIR to making an arrest...And all within just five hours! The accused—who had been nurtured and sheltered directly under the protective wing of a tyrannical regime—was whisked straight out from beneath that shelter and placed into judicial custody, his wrists now adorned with stainless steel handcuffs!

The accused has been arrested, and an investigation is underway.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of our workers since yesterday afternoon, we have succeeded in setting the wheels of justice in motion; yet, we shall not stop—we are determined to see this through to its absolute conclusion.

We did not seek to engage in politics, but we are resolved to establish the rule of law across West Bengal, including in Uttarpara.

If the people of Uttarpara—our true deities—bestow their blessings upon me and grant me that opportunity, I give my solemn word: the rule of law shall be established throughout the entirety of West Bengal, including Uttarpara. Not the law of the rulers—but the true rule of law. And that process begins today!
