Sanad Sardar, the BJP candidate for the Sandeshkhali Assembly constituency, hit the ground running early this morning to campaign within his electoral area. It is worth recalling that when the Sandeshkhali region was engulfed in turmoil during the protests of 2024, this very candidate had extended his support to the mothers and sisters of Sandeshkhali from behind the scenes. He stated that, upon winning the Sandeshkhali seat by a margin of forty thousand votes, his primary objective would be to address the aspirations and needs of the local populace. Specifically, recognizing the region's riverine nature, he pledged to construct several bridges across the rivers to resolve the daily logistical challenges faced by the island dwellers, thereby enabling the local residents to more easily access essential services and resolve their pressing issues. Furthermore, he vowed to resolve the grievances of the common people of Sandeshkhali, who have been subjected to various forms of oppression. Urging the people of Sandeshkhali to cast their votes overwhelmingly in favor of the BJP candidate in this election, he formally commenced his campaign after offering prayers at a local temple and paying his obeisance at the feet of the Goddess; accompanying him were a host of BJP leaders, party workers, and supporters.
