Within 12 hours, police arrested one Raju Pramanik, followed by his associates Ajoy Shil and Milan Biswas, and later Susanta Karnakar for purchasing the stolen gold. Based on their statements, Rs. 10,000/- and approx. 15gms of gold is recovered and seized.

On 20.02.2026, Smt. Tumpa Das of Badkulla Natun Patua, P.S. Taherpur, District Nadia, lodged a complaint alleging that on 07.01.2026, during her absence from home between 20:30 hrs and 21:30 hrs, unknown miscreants committed theft of gold ornaments worth approximately Rs. 3 lakh and cash of Rs. 18,000/-. Accordingly, a specific case was registered at Taherpur PS.

Within 12 hours, police arrested one Raju Pramanik, followed by his associates Ajoy Shil and Milan Biswas, and later Susanta Karnakar for purchasing the stolen gold. Based on their statements, Rs. 10,000/- and approx. 15gms of gold is recovered and seized.
