Training camp for financially self-reliant women of Scheduled Castes under the auspices of Rising Voice Foundation Recently, a training camp was organized for women belonging to Scheduled Castes for 15 days in February under the auspices of Rising Voice Foundation and ICAR National Institute of Natural Fiber Engineering and Technology.
Reported by Sanchita chatterjee Howrah: Training camp for financially self-reliant women of Scheduled Castes under the auspices of Rising Voice Foundation Recently, a training camp was organized for women belonging to Scheduled Castes for 15 days in February under the auspices of Rising Voice Foundation and ICAR National Institute of Natural Fiber Engineering and Technology. The main objective of this 15-day training camp in Makradaha, Domjur, Howrah was to make women who are backward in the society and are victims of domestic violence financially and self-reliant. Jute training was given to 20 women. The training was mainly focused on handicrafts where they were taught some essential items for daily life, various home decoration items, jute ornaments for girls, naturally which are environment friendly. This training was conducted under the direction of ICAR Director Sak War.
During the training, the girls expressed their unspoken desires or dreams of becoming self-reliant through their handmade crafts.
Scientists Sujoy Das and Kartik Samanta, through their valuable speeches, shared information about the jute industry business and how it enriches girls.
Moumita Das, the founder of Rising Voice Foundation, congratulated the girls for their future lives and declared the end of the training camp by presenting certificates to the trainees present in the program.
