These measures have been taken considering the safety and convenience of passengers, officials confirmed.During a press briefing this morning, a senior railway official said that temporary changes have been made to the schedule of some trains departing from Quetta. These changes will remain in effect until further notice. He requested all passengers to check the latest information from the nearest railway station or helpline 117 before starting their journey.What Do the New Guidelines Include?Schedule Changes: The timing of several weekly trains has been reorganized. Special attention has been given to adjusting the schedule of night trains for passenger convenience.Security Protocol Update: The process of checking passenger bags and luggage at all stations has been further improved. Authorities have requested cooperation from everyone.Ticket System: Submitting a copy of the NID has been made mandatory while booking tickets online. This step has been taken for security reasons.Helpline Active: A 24-hour helpline 117 will remain active for any emergency. Passengers can call this number to know the current location of trains.Advice for PassengersRailway authorities have advised passengers to arrive at the station at least one hour before departure. Due to the upcoming Eid holidays, trains may be more crowded than usual. It is better to confirm tickets in advance.If any unidentified object is found lying around the station area, passengers should immediately inform the on-duty police or security personnel. Everyone is requested to keep their belongings with them at all times.Statement from AuthoritiesThe Divisional Railway Manager said, "Ensuring the safe travel of passengers is our first priority. Following the new guidelines will make everyone's journey more comfortable. We are continuously monitoring the situation. Any further changes will be announced immediately."He also added that the Quetta rail route is very important for the country's economy. Therefore, all necessary steps are being taken to ensure the safety and regular operation of this route.Final NoteCurrently, trains from Quetta to Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar are operating normally. However, there are minor changes to the timetable.
