PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2026: ₹3 Lakh Loan, ₹15,000 Toolkit + Free Training | Apply Online







 Sanchita chatterjee: Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana was launched on 17 September 2023. Its objective is to make the traditional artisans and craftsmen of the country self-reliant. It is a direct financial and skill support for those who work with hands and machines.

Objective of the Scheme

Virasat se Vikas: To preserve traditional crafts and make artisans self-reliant

Collateral-Free Loan: Loan facility without any collateral

Benefits of the Scheme

PM Vishwakarma Certificate & ID Card: Identity Card

Skill Training: Free training with stipend of ₹500 per day

Toolkit Incentive: Assistance up to ₹15,000 for purchasing modern equipment

Loan Suvidha: Loan up to ₹3 lakh at 5% interest, in 2 installments

Digital Transaction Incentive: Additional benefits on digital payments

 Who can apply

18 traditional professions: carpenter, blacksmith, potter, goldsmith, cobbler, tailor, sculptor, etc.

Applicant must be at least 18 years of age

Only 1 person from a family can apply

 Application Process

Apply online from PM Vishwakarma Portal or from the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC).

Budget and Timeframe

Total Budget: ₹13,000 crore

Period: 5 years from FY 2023-24 to FY 2027-28

The scheme is creating new income opportunities for artisans in both rural and urban areas.

Following a long-standing dispute, the West Bengal government has taken a significant step toward clearing the outstanding Dearness Allowance (DA) dues of state government employees and pensioners. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made an announcement regarding this matter on Sunday afternoon, prior to the declaration of the election schedule in the state. Notably, even before her announcement, the Finance Department had issued several notifications and memoranda on March 13, stating that the DA arrears—accrued between April 2008 and December 2019—would be cleared in a phased manner.
