I-PAC Case Hearing Postponed | Supreme Court Sets Next Date to 22 September

I-PAC Case Hearing Postponed in Supreme Court — The hearing on the petition filed against political strategy firm I-PAC was not held in the Supreme Court today. The court has now set 22 September 2026 as the next hearing date.


Why the Hearing Was Postponed:

According to sources, the hearing could not take place today due to time constraints or the absence of the counsel for one of the parties. However, the official court order is yet to be published.

A public interest litigation has been filed questioning the working methods of I-PAC and the transparency of its contracts with political parties. The petition raises concerns about the neutrality of the electoral process.

I-PAC has been involved in election strategy planning for various political parties across multiple states. The outcome of this case could set a precedent for how political consulting firms operate in the future.

During the 22 September 2026 hearing, the Supreme Court is expected to decide on the admissibility of the petition.

Following a long-standing dispute, the West Bengal government has taken a significant step toward clearing the outstanding Dearness Allowance (DA) dues of state government employees and pensioners. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made an announcement regarding this matter on Sunday afternoon, prior to the declaration of the election schedule in the state.
