 Reported by Sanchita chatterjee: For six months, a man has been walking around in a neighborhood of Kalyani dressed in police uniform. He had a uniform, a badge, and a police board on his car. He sometimes introduced himself as an employee of the Cyber ​​Police Station, sometimes as someone associated with the police station. People around him initially believed him. But inconsistencies began to be detected in his conversations. There were gaps in his identity. Suspicions began to mount.


The arrested man's name is Arup Khan. He lives in Gopalnagar, North 24 Parganas. He had been living in a rented house in Kathaltala area of ​​Ward No. 3 of Kalyani Municipality for the past six months. The police were informed based on the suspicions of his neighbors. The police reached the house at around 10 pm on Wednesday and searched it. He was arrested after two rounds of searches.


Police uniforms, badges, various equipment, and a pistol were recovered from the house. During initial interrogation, he admitted that he used to wear police uniforms and give false identities. He was produced before the Kalyani Subdistrict Court on Thursday. A case has been registered against him under specific sections.
