U.S. President Donald Trump could visit India “

Recent statements by the new U.S. Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, suggest that U.S. President Donald Trump could visit India “soon,” possibly within the next year or two, though no official dates have been announced. Gor, a close Trump ally, highlighted the strong personal rapport between Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and reaffirmed that bilateral ties remain a priority despite ongoing trade tensions. His remarks signal optimism about a future presidential trip as part of efforts to deepen economic and strategic cooperation between the two countries.

A Washington Post report highlighted that Gor’s appointment comes as both sides work to reset relations following tariff disputes and other policy issues, with Gor aiming to leverage his close connection to Trump to foster progress.
