A Bangladeshi youth was apprehended by the BSF at the Bhagirathi outpost in the India-Bangladesh border area early Sunday morning. The arrested youth has been identified as Rabiul Sheikh (30), a resident of Satrasia village in Chapainawabganj district of Bangladesh. He was caught around 3:30 AM on Sunday in the Patla Tola area under Raghunathganj police station in Murshidabad.

According to BSF sources, Rabiul was trying to cross the Padma River and enter Indian territory. BSF jawans spotted him and apprehended him. He was not wearing any clothes at the time. Due to the extreme cold, his physical condition deteriorated, and he started having seizures like an epileptic patient. In that condition, the BSF provided him with warm clothes.
