The Election Commission, under the directive of Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal, has ordered a re-election in a total of 15 booths across the South 24 Parganas district—specifically in the Magrahat West (11 booths) and Diamond Harbour (4 booths) Assembly constituencies. The Election Commission, led by Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal, took this stern measure following reports of irregularities during the voting process and instances where CCTV cameras were found to be non-functional. Re-polling at these booths is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 2.
