At least seven people, including three children, have lost their lives. Thirty fire engines have already reached the scene, and firefighting operations are currently underway. According to fire department sources, the blaze broke out suddenly on Wednesday morning in a five-story residential building in the Palam area of ​​Southwest Delhi. Thick black smoke engulfed the entire locality, instantly triggering panic across the area. Upon receiving the report, the police and 30 fire engines rushed to the scene. As a result of the fire, many residents became trapped inside the building. Rescue operations were launched with wartime urgency. However, reports confirm that seven people have died in the incident so far; three of the victims are children. Several others sustained injuries and have been rescued and admitted to a hospital.
